About Sky Palisade I

The Sky Palisade is an extreme deconstruction of a mountain, or even simpler 'walk' form that calls to mind a man-made rampart. The mirrored finish will reflect the sky (or anything else surrounding it) and distort the surrounding in a beautiful way. While its surroundings are reflected, they can also be viewed through the negative space that permeates the sculpture. My intent is to create a barrier that is a melding of positive and negative space, that bears a strong, powerful shape that is made transcendent by it embrace of its accompanying atmosphere.
