About Exposed Burl

The Exposed Burl is a beautiful, small maple burl that I exposed to the world thorough smoothing and polishing its flat surfaces and opening up areas within the piece of wood. The piece come to me beautiful, so my task is to extenuate that beauty. When I obtain a piece of wood like this it is dull and scratched, perhaps not what we think of as beautiful, but it really is. I work with the piece to unveil it beauty in my way.
