About Regatta

This sculpture is an arrangement of lacy blades, or perhaps sails. I wanted to juxtapose similar elements without necessarily attaching them. This piece highlights not only the negative space within each element, but also the negative space between them. There is a motion implied by the shape of each small sculpture as well as by their positions and distance.
