The Azzurro Djinn is a solid interpretation of swirling motion, which can be observed through dust devils, waterspouts, whirlpools, and other phenomena where visible particles, such as those in smoke, are carried by the circular motion of a matrix such as water and air.
I titles the piece Djinn because when completed, it called to mind the curling, ascending smoke of a Djinn rising from a rubbed, ornate lamp.
