AUTUMN SKYSCAPE was the first of the ‘skyscapes’ I have produced. This work is pretty much just what the title says – a view of an autumn sky. The idea for the piece came to me while driving south on I-95 between Baltimore and Washington, DC on a pretty autumn day.
I am a bit of a ‘cloud-hugger’ as well as a tree-hugger. I pay a great deal of attention to the sky, rarely miss a sunset, and hate, hate, hate, hate light pollution.
This piece is made of aluminum and brass plate with sky blue Plexiglas. #8 stainless steel and brass button-head bolts hold the pieces together.
