About Collapse

A work stolen in 2003, COLLAPSE was the original version of 'Tangent-Arc' and was commissioned by Bowie State University in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

A tumble or 'collapse’ of steel arcs, this sculpture stood nearly seven feet tall and was comprised of a collection a painted, curved, steel plates. As mentioned earlier, COLLAPSE was stolen from the university and as a result of the theft I was commissioned to replace it. In its place I built 'Tangent-Arc', which can be viewed currently at the entry to the universities Martin Luther King Jr. Arts Center.
